well done guys

i found this wall at the port of napier… it was made by an industrious gang of P.E.P workers…. it is a wonderful piece of our history and it typifies the P.E.P. scheme .. for those who don’t know what the P.E.P. scheme was , it was a government scheme to put the unemployed to work.. every 6 month the unemployed were put onto a scheme and paid the minimum wage , most of the work was labour intensive , this was suppose to give work experience and help integrate you into the work force….. this is one of the projects that worked ….

end of the line
